Issue

You may experience a situation where:

• The challenge or Studio (DAW) produces no sound
• But videos (like lesson demos) still play audio normally

Cause

This is typically caused by your device being in silent/ring-off mode.
Some mobile browsers treat interactive audio (like synths and DAWs) differently from video audio when silent mode is enabled.

Solution

1) Turn Off Silent Mode

On iPhone:

• On newer iPhones, press and hold the Action Button to toggle silent mode off
• On older iPhones, use the Ring/Silent switch on the side
• Make sure silent mode is OFF

On Android:

• Make sure your phone is not set to Silent or Do Not Disturb
• Set sound profile to Sound (not Vibrate/Silent)

2) Refresh the Page

After turning off silent mode:

• Refresh the page in your browser
• Or close and reopen the app/page

Still Not Working?

If you're still not hearing sound:

• Make sure your volume is turned up
• Try closing other apps that may be using audio
• Reload the lesson or Studio again

This is a known issue with how some mobile devices handle interactive audio. A fix is planned for a future update.
